Doctor Who primer:

The Doctor is a Time Lord who travels the universe saving human from alien invasion, which happens a lot. He travels with a female companion who, by turns, helps him and gets in need of rescuing by him. His first-season companion, Rose, will star in "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" on Showtime this summer. This series is probably based on the revolutionary blog "Belle de Jour" in which a lady of the evening described her life of sex for money as well as her confusing love life with various BFs. Should be juicy!
